The doctors and staff at Georgetown Eye Associates want to ensure you that your health and wellness are our top priority. We have always cleaned our equipment between each patient, we have now added cleaning chairs and exam lane surfaces as well. We are following the CDC guidelines for hygiene and have added more strategies for office cleanliness.

 We ask that you wear a mask to the office.  Our office staff will be wearing masks also.  We ask that you wait in your car until your appointment time to limit the number patients in the waiting area.  We ask that you call to schedule all visits including frame adjustments and contact lens pick-ups.  Though we are trying to direct ship most orders.  

If you or a family member has traveled outside of the country in the last 3 weeks or is experiencing any symptom of the COVID-19 virus, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment for a later date.

  • Dr. Claudine Y Kawabata O.D.

    Dr. Claudine Kawabata graduated from the Pacific University College of Optometry of Forest Grove, Oregon in 1993.  She then went on to do a contact lens residency in contact lens research at CIBA Vision in Duluth, Georgia  She also did a hospital based residency at the Brockton/West Roxbury VA Health Care System.  Since 2000, Dr. Kawabata has practiced at a busy Ophthalmology practice in Boston.  She is on the cataract/glaucoma team and helps with pre and post- operative cataract patients.When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family.  She also enjoys visiting her extended family in Hawaii.

  • Dr. Mark A. Traveis

    Dr. Mark Traveis graduated from the New England College of Optometry of Boston, Massachusetts in 1993.  He then went on to do a hospital based residency at the Brockton/West Roxbury VA Health Care System that specializes in ocular disease and geriatric care.  Thereafter, he transitioned to private practice in Burlington and in Georgetown.  He co-manages both post-op LASIK and cataract surgery patients.   He likes helping patients with their glasses and refractive needs.When not at the office, Dr. Traveis enjoys watching his daughters play sports.  He also loves going to the New England Patriots games.
